NAACP Leaders Will Push Confederate Flag Issue
Cincinnati (AP) - NAACP leaders meeting in in Cincinnati say they will step
up their campaign against flying of the Confederate battle flag on state
grounds in South Carolina.
Dennis Courtland Hayes, interim president and CEO, said Monday at the civil
rights organization's national convention that action plans are in the works
and to stay tuned for details.
The NAACP and other critics call the rebel flag a symbol of slavery and
racism.

This just shows the blacks determination to make EVERYTHING a racial
issue. If the whites are stupid enough to tolerate it then they
deserve what they get.
Its defenders call it an emblem of Southern pride and heritage.

Come on, all of us down here in the South know who's running around
braying about that flag. We know what kind of people they are. This
isn't about some "historical pride" or anything like that. It's the last
gasp of the die hard, inbred, single wide trailer park racists who seem
to be still stunned they lost the war a century and a half later.
Time to put the damn thing in the museums where it belongs...
(Not to mention, it seems it's the wrong flag anyway. So much for
"history" and "pride" if they can't even get the flag right eh?) |
