Just the header tells us the problem: Israel deciding what gets through
and what does not. None can imagine a headline like "India allows
Pakistan fuel supplies", or "US allows Cuba fuel supplies", or "US
allows Iraq fuel supplies", or "China allows fuel Tibet supplies". The
whole idea is so humiliating, so insulting to Palestinians, that it is
no wonder that some of their youngest prefer to die killing their
oppressors rather than continue living like less than an animal.

Twenty five thousand Jews live in Iran. When they were offered 60
thousand dollars per family to go to Israel they responded: "We have
been in Persia since before Mohammed was born. This is our country and
we have no intention of leaving." Even though in Iran there is a member
of parliament for every 150 thousand people, Jews who number less are
allowed to elect one member of parliament among themselves.
Now, I am not a big fun of the Iranian government. I am sure life is
pretty rough for the average Iranian, be she Muslim, Jew, or
Zoroastrian. But Iran has not attacked any country in the last 200
years, and not many countries can say the same, even in the last 100
years, or even the last 50 years.

True, it is memories of the CIA and British run coup
against the nationalist Mosaddeq government
which led to the subsequent anti-Americanism. It was
resentment of the puppet which allowed the Ayatollahs to
grow in influence and seize power, and the fear of another
CIA coup that led the Iranians to seize the American embassy.
And it is this same anti-American sentiment which Ahmadinejad
exploits with his overblown rhetoric, to consolidate his power.
America for some decades now seems to have lost it's
touch at Imperial subversion and overthrow and
continually STRENGTHENS it's enemies! 8^o

The USA won the confidence and respect of the people living in the world's |

provided aid.
Up until then and after the invasion of Iraq, 15% of Indonesians disliked the
USA. Once the US military moved in and saved the day with food, water and
aid. It skyrocketed to over 50%.
I guess that bombs aren't the key to respect. Doing what the US Navy did in
2004 and early 2005 showed that.
Essentially, the acts of the US military during the Tsunami of 2004 undid a
lot of the problem that the invasion of Iraq had created in the world's most
populous Muslim nation. |

I don't think so. The US response was originally criticized as
"chintzy". They were also slow to provide the promised aid. To my
knowledge, they still haven't. |

Across their shared border. The same thing occurs across every border in the
world; countries have a right to control what crosses their borders. For
example, the US decides what they will allow to cross their borders with
Canada and Mexico. Singapore decides what will cross their border with

Because Israel would last about two weeks without US aid. And US aid
is unlikely to be forecoming to a nation which starves it's charges to
death. And Israel became responsible for Gaza's well being when they
decided to take it.

In the link a young Israeli woman says:
"The first residents to establish the city of Sderot in 1951 were
Persian, Kurdish and Moroccan Jews who fled the Arab countries after
centuries of persecution.

She is saying it, yet she fails to see the implication: Arabs and Jews
lived alongside for centuries, but it took the murder of millions of
Jews at the hands of CHRISTIANS, and the establishment of a Jewish state
to house those persecuted by Christian governments to get Arabs and Jews
to hate each other. It took the creation of a state that was established
on land stolen to Arabs, for the relationship between Arabs and Jews to
sour.
Just, try to put yourself in the mind of an illiterate Arab when he
learns that the Palestinians, who accepted to share their land with
Jews, now find themselves homeless. What is he going to do to the Jew
living next door? He knows that the "International Community" has sided
with the Jews, the same "International Community" that did not give a
damn about Jews being murdered by the millions in WWII, the same
"International Community" that could not hide its racism and
anti-Semitism when decided to send their Jews to the Middle East with
Arabs, and let them kill each other. So, he suspects (wrongly of course,
but can you blame him?) that if he does not act immediately, the Jew is
going to take HIS house.
Incidentally, that move benefited Ashkenazi Jews in Israel enormously,
since this allowed them to get rid of Palestinian labour, and replace it
with Sephardic Jews.
Most Israelis are blind to the suffering they are inflicting to
Palestinians. And, with the support of the US, they are ready to keep
inflicting suffering for decades to come.
