contributes to the high suicide rate for shrinks. They have been
unwilling to face the neurotic effects of religious fundamentalism,
and tried to help people in a totally secular way without facing up to
the reality of how dogma feeds neurosis.
Political correctness and academic standing has prevented psychology
and sociology departments from facing the facts that have come out of
the human genome and the tremendous effect of genetic endowment, or
lack thereof, on development, or the lack thereof.
Different gene pools need different policies. Patients have
genetically determined instinctive behavior patterns the same as all
other primates. Some of which are not well adpated to what passes for
modern civilization. The cognitive dissonnance on the part of
professionals results in their own neurotic states of denial, and the
failures of their treatments has led to personal depression and
suicide. |
